The Bakersfield Heat aka Bak-City Heat sports teams was established by TMTF 501c3 in 2018 to provide youth an opportunity to fully develop their basketball skills and excel at the sport without the added financial burden that comes with participation on an elite traveling sports team. Myself, alongside Head Coach Lamont Hill, and Coach Sami have a combined 28 years of experience as a basketball parent, after-school, school coaching, and athletics director. Because of this experience, our program emphasizes academics, personal growth, physical fitness, sportsmanship, life skills development, health and wellness balancing, camaraderie, humility, and aggression replacement training along with conditioning to help those suffering from obesity.
Bak-City & Bakersfield Heat coaches are committed to positioning our athletes to receive scholarships, donations and placement on top sports teams through quality conditioning and training, we believe through building relationships with scouts across the country it would provide a way to challenge young athletes year-round while keeping them off of the streets and their heads in the game.
